We did our test footaged at three different times of the day. One O'clock to get normal daylight, then four O'clock and finally at five O'clock as it was getting darker. We also used an affect on the camera during the day to give it a darkening affect.
We tried experimenting with the light to see which light was best to film with the mask. We found night time to be extremely difficult as the images were hard to see and the mask lost a lot of detail.
However we found that if the clown stands under a lamppost nearby that it creates quite a creepy effect and looks red on the camera fitting with out colour theme. We also used a normal touch phone to highlight the clown's face and found that more affective than the street lamp.
