Production week 10-13
The past two week we've been focusing on filming the last scene we needed for our trailer and beginning a rough cut of our trailer. Our trailer is on it's way but not yet complete as we still have to properly edit the footage towards the end of the trailer and add ambient sound to create more depth.

Trailer Rough Cut and Feedback
Our first Rougb Cut followed a chronological order which after showing it to our audience for the first time, we found and decided is wasn't fitting into the normal conventions of a horror trailer and wasn't realistic. This was feedback that we had come up with within are group to work on.
We received a few bits of feedback from our audience, one being that our Chief of police scene ran far too long and they suggested we should cut it up into sections and spread it out throughout the trailer. Another suggested perhaps putting part of the Chief of Police scene at the end of the trailer to mix up the order a bit. Our group thoroughly agreed with this feedback, finding that it not only gave more depth and a better pace to our trailer but it would also foreshadow what our character's where going to go through. Some other feedback pointed out we had a few scenes that were boring and were focused on adding too much information for a trailer and that should be removed. Trailer's are suppose to withhold some information to pull in an audience so we agreed with this.
All the feedback we received was really useful and we will take it on board as we continue to work on our trailer to the highest quality we can.

Filming 3
This week we were finally able to film the last scene for our trailer, the scene in which the Chief of police comes forth to make a formal statement to the public. Sadly we could not film in our intended location, outside Oxclose Academy because of time restrictions so we filmed in one of the college's classrooms. We also had a change of actor because of availability problems. Now that this scene is filmed we can begin to edit it into our trailer.
We also managed, in this scene, to acquire some of the props that we did plan to use. such as microphones and some paper for the actor to look as if he was reading an official statement. Two photography students partook in are filming by using flashes on their cameras during the scene to make it look more professional and as if he were reading to an audience/press. We had wanted to create a constant colour scheme of red in our trailer and were going to have our actor wear a red tie but unfortunately that couldn't happen.
